On January 14, Russian troops attacked a multi-story building on Naberezhnaya Peremogy in the Dnipro with an Kh-22 missile designed to destroy aircraft carrier groups at sea. The Kh-22 missile is supersonic, it has low accuracy when hitting ground targets. The Russian Federation used the same missile to attack a shopping center in Kremenchuk in the summer of 2022.

The missile with a warhead of 950 kilograms, called “carrier killer”, is designed to destroy aircraft carrier groups at sea, it can be equipped with a nuclear warhead. And with such a missile they hit a densely populated city where people… There is no explanation or justification for this terrorist act, – says Yuriy Ignat, the spokesman of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Ukraine still does not have the means to shoot down such missiles.

Filatov: According to preliminary estimates, there will be more than 50 victims of the Russian missile attack on the Dnipro, that is 100%. There is a possibility that some people simply “vaporized”

The number of victims of a Russian missile attack on a multi-story residential building in Dnipro will be more than 50 people.

This opinion was expressed by the chairman Borys Filatov.

According to him, the chances of finding anyone else under the rubble tend to zero, because the temperature was low at night and rocket fuel was burning after the impact.

“Approximately 20 people are considered missing, and to be honest, we are completely sifting through the garbage so that not a single fragment of the body disappears, but I was told that… there is such a possibility that some people simply “evaporated”, Filatov said.

The rescuers are still planning to examine the roof of the building, the mayor of Dnipro continued, because bodies could have been thrown there as a result of a rocket attack.

“Well, let’s do it. According to preliminary estimates, there will still be 50+ victims, that’s 100%,” Filatov emphasized.

Currently, 45 people are known to have died as a result of the Russian missile attack on the Dnipro, among them six children.

According to the information of the Ukrainian military, an Kh-22 anti-ship missile arrived in Dnipro, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not have weapons capable of shooting down missiles of this type. The weight of the warhead of such missiles is approximately 950 kg.

The Prosecutor General’s Office noted that these missiles are extremely inaccurate: they can deviate from the course by hundreds of meters. The same type of rockets were used by the occupiers in Serhiyivka, Odesa Region, and Kremenchuk, Poltava Region. According to the prosecutor’s office, they can be launched by a single Russian unit – the 52nd Guards Bomber Aviation Regiment.

6 months of shelling of Nikopol: the city lives and works in defiance of the enemy

Half a year ago, the first large-scale shelling of Nikopol took place. More than 10 apartment buildings were damaged then. Even today, the occupiers do not leave Nikopolshchyna alone even for a day.

For 6 months, they cynically raid peaceful towns and villages, destroy residential buildings and infrastructure, and kill people. Despite all attempts, the occupiers are unable to intimidate the people of Nikopol and sow panic. The city lives and works in defiance of the enemy.
