Since February 24, 2022, 40 monuments and newly discovered cultural heritage sites have been damaged in Dnipro due to Russian attacks.
This was reported by the Department for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of the Dnipro City Council.
They noted that in total there are 427 such monuments in the Dnipro that are on state registration.
Thus, almost every tenth cultural heritage site has suffered varying degrees of destruction during the years of full-scale war.
In addition, more than 100 buildings of valuable historical buildings were damaged in three historical areas of the Dnipro.
Due to a drone attack on the Dnipro on April 17, historical monuments were damaged: the main post office, a museum, and a hotel.
