In Donetsk region, Russian drones attacked the car of a volunteer from Zaporizhzhia

In Bakhmut district, in the village of Pereizdne, enemy soldiers directed a drone into a car of the charity fund “Ukraine in the Heart”. It happened at a time when a volunteer car was delivering humanitarian aid to local residents.

Volunteer Oleg Panchenko told about it: “It happened two days ago. Our car is branded, it has the inscription “Evacuation”, that is, it is clear that it is not a military vehicle. We brought humanitarian aid to people. We stopped at a woman’s yard to give her groceries and literally did not get to another place for a few hundred meters. I saw a drone flying through the window, turned off the road. Other team members jumped out of the car. So, only I suffered”, – said the head of the charity fund “Ukraine in the heart” Oleg Panchenko.

He was evacuated from the scene, and then taken to one of the Zaporizhzhia hospitals. The volunteer says that he was lucky and was born wearing a shirt. “My leg was literally hanging on my trouser leg. The bone was badly broken by fragments. The doctors said that the fragments still remain in the leg and that treatment is needed and rehabilitation will continue for six months. After rehabilitation, I will return to volunteering, the war is not over yet and we need to help people,” says Oleg.

During the entire existence of the foundation, according to Oleg, the volunteer car has already come under fire in Bakhmut, but then only the equipment suffered, people remained unharmed.

Oleg also said that after his wounded man was evacuated from the place, the enemy attacked his car with three more drones. The car caught fire and was destroyed.

“The humanitarian aid that was in the car was taken out and distributed to people,” he says.

But in confirmation of his words, he drops everywhere the messages sent to him by an unknown person who helped to remove products from the burning car.
