In the Shevchenkiv community in the Kharkiv region, during the occupation, the invaders tortured people with the help of a lift on the territory of one of the agricultural enterprises.
Valery Prykhodko, the head of the Shevchenkiv community, said: “There were several such places. One of them is in the farm, where the lifts were working. They took people there, tied their hands behind their backs and lifted them up on a lift,” Prykhodko said.
According to him, some elders of the community, the head of the local police and many policemen, who refused to cooperate with the enemy, despite the torture, passed through this torture chamber.
According to Pryhodko, the invaders beat people in the buildings of the police, the Military Commissariat, and the Department of Social Protection, and in the village of Petrivka they tortured people in the premises of the school.
“After bullying in the community, people were taken to Kupyansk, where a full system of interrogations was deployed. Our people also got there. The farmer was held for more than a month and a half, the director of one of the gymnasiums – for a week. Our local historian Andrii Bulyga has disappeared, and until now we do not know where he is,” Prykhodko said.
As reported, the village of Shevchenkive and other settlements included in the community were captured by Russian troops on February 25. They were de-occupied on September 10.
After the liberation, the village is subjected to shelling and rocket attacks. In particular, on October 4, Russian invaders damaged private houses with missiles from the S-300 complex.
On November 13, Russian troops fired seven rockets at the town of Shevchenkove. As a result of the shelling, the House of Culture, shops, trade pavilions, a post office building, an educational institution, an infrastructure object, and two residential four-story buildings were damaged. Two people were injured. The invaders also used the S-300, striking from the territory of the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation.

Significant destruction of private homes was recorded. No fire was detected. During the day from November 14 to 15, the rescuers of the Kharkiv garrison of the State Emergency Service made 25 operational trips, including:
13 – to eliminate fires, 1 of which was caused by enemy shelling;
2 – for carrying out emergency and rescue operations;
12 – to provide assistance to the population, the police and utility workers;
2 – other departures.
141 explosive objects were removed and neutralized by the pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service during the day. Rescuers delivered 28.5 tons of drinking and technical water to residents of the cities of Kupyansk, Izyum and the village of Korotych of the Kharkiv district.
