In Kharkiv region, Russian shells damaged a church, a kindergarten, and a meat processing plant

On August 19, in the Kharkiv region, as a result of Russian shelling, at least 16 residential buildings and about a dozen objects of civil infrastructure were damaged, including food production enterprises, kindergartens, a church, and a boarding house.

This was announced by the chairman of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleg Synegubov.

According to him, during August 19, the populated areas of Bogodukhiv, Kharkiv, Chuguyiv, Izyum and Kupyan districts were under fire from the enemy.

Russian strikes damaged:

– a private house in Kupyansk;

– 4 private houses in Kozachai Lopan (Kharkiv district);

– the building of the agricultural enterprise in the village Cherneshchyna (Izyum district);

– warehouses and commercial buildings of civil enterprises in the village. Oleksandrivka (Bohodukhiv district);

– 11 private houses, a kindergarten building, a boarding house, a bakery, a church in the village. Vilcha (Chuguyiv district).

Fires also occurred as a result of the shelling. In Kupyansk, the building of the meat processing plant was on fire. In the village Kruglyakivka, Kupyansk district, there was a fire on the forestry territory.

On August 20, around 7:00 a.m., the Russians shelled the city of Kupyansk. A civilian man in his 40s was seriously injured.

This was announced by the chairman of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleg Synegubov.

“Currently, doctors are fighting for his life,” Synegubov said.

On the morning of August 20, in Kupyansk, rescuers put out one fire caused by Russian shelling. The Russians were beaten in the central part of the city, reported to the regional emergency department.

“A one-story private building was hit by artillery fire, which was immediately occupied. The area of the fire was about 250 square meters,” the rescuers said.

At 09:45, the firemen extinguished this fire. 15 rescuers and 3 units of equipment worked at the scene.

On August 20, 11 civilians were injured as a result of artillery shelling in the center of Kupyansk (Kharkiv region). This was announced by the chairman of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleg Synegubov.

According to preliminary information, seven people are in serious condition, three are in moderate condition. One person was treated at the scene.

“After 2:00 p.m., the Russians struck several times with artillery just in the central part of the city, five cars of local residents were destroyed and damaged, the branch of the Novaya Poshta was damaged, and several fires broke out,” Sinegubov wrote.

He emphasized that the attacks of the Russian military on the center of Kupyansk are a real terror of the civilian population, for which the Russians must bear strict responsibility.

On August 20, Russian occupying forces shelled a medical facility and the private sector in Vovchansk, Kharkiv region.

“As a result of the blows, the roof and structures of the non-working hospital building and dry grass near a private residential building on a total area of about 1,000 square meters caught fire. 2 units of fire-rescue equipment and 10 personnel were involved in extinguishing the fire. At 1:50 p.m., the fire was extinguished. As a result of the shelling, a man born in 1952 died, who received fatal shrapnel wounds,” – reports the press service of the Department of Emergency Situations in the Kharkiv region.
