Kharkiv National University of Arts named after I. P. Kotlyarevskyі is one of the leading higher education institutions of Ukraine, a creative and scientific and methodological center of musical and theatrical education in the Slobozhanshchyna region with over a century of history.
In addition, the university is a member of the European Association of Conservatories, the European Association of Universities, and the European League of Universities of the Arts.
The Ministry of Culture recalled that the institution had already been damaged during the first Russian shelling of Kharkiv in the spring of 2022. Then the roof was damaged, windows were broken, and pipes and batteries cracked due to prolonged exposure to sub-zero temperatures and rain.
