In Kherson, a Russian drone hit a supermarket, injuring an 11-year-old boy

In Kherson, at around 16:30, a Russian drone hit the roof of a supermarket in the Central district of the city. As a result of the attack, an 11-year-old boy was injured and urgently taken to the hospital. During the day of August 31, three people were killed and seven were injured in the Kherson region from Russian shelling, including this boy.

In addition, at around 10:00 in the Dniprovsky district of Kherson, an 84-year-old man sought help at the hospital after an attack by a Russian drone, and was diagnosed with a mine-explosive injury. As of 17:30, three civilians had died as a result of the Russian attacks: a man and a woman in Kherson, as well as another woman in the village of Kostyrka.

Russian military personnel attacked settlements in the Kherson region using artillery and various types of unmanned aerial vehicles. The head of the Kherson city military administration, Yaroslav Shanko, commented on the situation:

“At around 16:30, the Russians attacked one of the supermarkets in the Central district of the city.” – Yaroslav Shanko

These events once again highlight the danger that residents of the region face in the context of the ongoing conflict.

This attack is part of a broader trend of Russian actions against the civilian population in Ukraine, in particular in the Kherson region, where shelling and drone attacks have become commonplace.
