In Kherson region, Russian attacks kill man, eight civilians injured

In Kherson region, a civilian man was killed and eight others were injured as a result of Russian attacks on September 8. The Russian army shelled the region with artillery and attacked with drones of various types.

At around 1:20 p.m. on September 8, Russian military dropped an explosive device from a drone on a civilian car in Naddnipryanske. As a result of the attack, a 70-year-old man received injuries incompatible with life.

Six residents of Kherson were injured as a result of Russian drone attacks. One more person was injured in Lyubimovka and Novovorontsovka.

As of 5:30 p.m. on September 8, 2026, Russian attacks had damaged private and apartment buildings, an administrative building, a store, and vehicles.

Prosecutors have launched a pre-trial investigation into war crimes committed by the Russian army under Parts 1 and 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
