A Russian drone hit a humanitarian mission vehicle, which had signs on all sides stating that the volunteers were evacuating civilians.
On October 29, volunteers from the Proliska humanitarian mission almost fell victim to a Russian drone attack during an evacuation. The Russians tried to attack chaplain Oleg Tkachenko and volunteer Yevgeny Tkachev with a “charged” FPV drone, allegedly attaching an anti-tank charge to it. The volunteer reported this on his page.
“Today, we planned to make several “second chance” trips to Kostyantynivka. These were to addresses where we had already been refused evacuation. Unfortunately, we were not able to visit everywhere, because we were purposefully attacked by an FPV drone, which exploded 5-10 meters away. Journalists and people who were just being taken out of their addresses are safe and sound,” said Yevgeny Tkachev.
The volunteer adds that the charge attached to the drone was probably an anti-tank grenade (RPG), since there is almost no fragmentary damage to the car. Among the available damage, only a cracked windshield and torn off parts of the car on the bumper were found. At most, the car’s wheels survived.
Thanks to today’s evacuation, a church guard was able to be taken out of the most heavily shot-through area of the city — opposite the railway station. The man was locked on the other side of the gate, so they had to be shaken to break the lock. However, unfortunately, the people who were supposed to leave Santurynivka (which the Russians “level” the most) never showed up. Their fate is unknown.
