
A fire broke out in a high-rise building near Kyiv as a result of a drone attack, residents are being evacuated. And in the capital, damage was recorded in the Holosiivskyi district.
On the night of January 28, a fire broke out on the top floor and roof of a residential building in the Belogorodsk community near Kyiv as a result of an attack by Russian drones. Houses in one of the districts of Kyiv were also damaged.
This was reported by the head of the Kyiv regional military administration Mykola Kalashnyk and the head of the Kyiv city military administration Timur Tkachenko.
As is known, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned about the movement of UAVs from the east in the direction of Kyiv. An air alert was declared in the capital and several districts of the Kyiv region.
“The Belogorodsk community suffered as a result of the attack by a terrorist country. A high-rise residential building was damaged. There was a fire on the roof and the upper floor,” Kalashnyk wrote.
Rescuers are working at the scene, and medics are on standby and monitoring. As Kalashnyk stated, residents are being evacuated, assuring that “all necessary first aid is being provided.”
At the same time, in Kyiv, air defense forces were working on enemy drones, as a result of which debris fell on the road, and damage was also recorded in the Holosiivskyi district of the capital.
Tkachenko reported damage to windows and a fire as a result of the enemy attack.
“The windows of a residential building were also damaged as a result of falling debris in the Holosiivskyi district,” the report says.
