In Lviv region, rocket debris damaged a church and residential buildings

On January 15, Russia launched a missile strike on Lviv region, causing destruction in the village of Sknyliv, Zolochiv district.

Rocket debris destroyed the house of local resident Yaroslava Ukach, which is now uninhabitable. The woman and her sister were at home during the shelling.

“I was sleeping, and everything was falling on me. We barely got out,” recalls Yaroslava Ukach.

The headman of Andriyivskyi starostyn district Myroslava Kohut reported that five residential buildings, a church, a local rectory, and a farm were damaged in the village.

“Windows were broken in the church and rectory. Two residential buildings were most damaged. One of them is the house of two elderly sisters,” Kohut noted.

The sisters, who lost their home, currently need temporary housing. Representatives of the village council are considering the options of settling in the Krasny hospice or a nursing home in Busk. Relatives of the women from Lviv have also expressed their willingness to help.

Law enforcement officers and a village council commission are already working in the village, recording the damage. Local residents have begun to tape up broken windows, trying to minimize the consequences of the destruction.
