In March, 130 dolphins died in the Black Sea

“The Russians continue to kill Black Sea cetaceans,” emphasized Doctor of Biological Sciences and scientific journalist Ivan Rusev.

He reported the death of about 130 dolphins in March of this year. Their bodies were found near the shores of the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation. Also, according to him, the bodies of cetaceans were found on different shores of Crimea, in the bays of Sevastopol and near the shores of Bulgaria.

According to Rusev, this trend is a confirmation that the activity of Russian sonar submarines and surface boats in the Black Sea is the main factor in the death of rare dolphins.

“Before the start of the war, the release of dolphins ashore in March was a very rare phenomenon. And now, according to scientists’ estimates, the real number of dead animals in 2024 is already several thousand animals, taking into account the fact that the sea throws out only 5% of dead bodies,” Rusev added.
