In Nikopol, a drone hit a car with people. The car caught fire. A woman and her husband were injured, as well as three rescuers who arrived to help and came under a second Russian strike.
The police evacuated the wounded woman to the hospital.
According to the police, on July 16, the Russians shot a drone at a civilian car with people. As a result of the strike, the car caught fire, and a 64-year-old woman was injured.
Rescuers arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire – and at that moment the Russians carried out a second strike and dropped ammunition from the drone on the people. The 65-year-old husband of the victim and three employees of the State Emergency Service who were liquidating the consequences of the attack were injured. The woman was evacuated from the scene by the crew of the patrol police response sector of the Nikopol district police department and handed over to the ambulance doctors.
In total, during July 16, the Russians inflicted more than three dozen more strikes on the Nikopol region. Investigators recorded damage to more than 20 residential buildings, two five-story buildings, outbuildings, civil infrastructure, a car, a garage, and a building that is not in use.
