In Odesa, Russians attacked energy infrastructure, market and supermarket burned

In Odesa, as a result of a Russian drone attack on February 12, energy infrastructure was damaged.

This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

As a result of strikes by Russian UAVs, a 9-story residential building was damaged, a fire broke out. Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire on the upper floors.

In addition, fires broke out in shopping pavilions in the market and in the supermarket. Windows were broken in surrounding buildings, cars were damaged.

Firefighters worked in extremely difficult conditions – extinguishing was interrupted by repeated alarm signals.

According to preliminary data, one person was injured. Psychologists of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine provided assistance to 23 people who were in the epicenter of the events.

In the Odesa region, the Russians have again attacked the DTEK energy facility, and repairs will take a long time to restore the equipment to working condition.

“We are currently working on site: we are clearing the rubble. We will do everything possible to eliminate the consequences of the attack as soon as possible. The primary task is to restore electricity to critical infrastructure facilities,” DTEK emphasized.

According to the head of the Odesa City Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, an operational headquarters has already been deployed in Odesa, where residents of damaged buildings can receive all the necessary assistance.
