In Odessa, after the shelling, hazardous substances were released into the air – residents are advised to limit their time outdoors

Until the air quality situation improves, Odessa residents are recommended not to be outdoors if possible.

The Russian army has carried out another strike by the shaheeds on Odessa, as a result of which a strong fire broke out on fuel tanks. Due to the fire, a significant amount of pollutants and combustion products were released into the air. This was reported by the Odesa City Council.

“As a result of the fires, a significant amount of pollutants and combustion products were released into the air,” the report says.

The city hall also noted that until the air quality situation improves, it is recommended to stay outside if possible, or use a respirator, and close windows and doors at home to prevent smoke from entering the premises.

The municipal enterprise “Municipal Center for Environmental Safety” of the Odessa City Council and the state institution “Odessa Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine” are currently monitoring the state of atmospheric air, the results of which will be reported later.
