In Okhtyrka, as a result of the Russian attack on the 9-story building, people were blocked in their apartments

On the night of December 8, the Russians attacked a 9-story building in Okhtyrka, Sumy Region. The attack was targeted, as the “Shaheeds” flew at the building from different directions.

This was reported by Olesya Borovyk, editor-in-chief of the Sumy publication “Kordon.Media”.

She reported that two people were hospitalized after this attack. In total, seven people were injured. There were no fatalities.

“Among the injured are two men and five women. They mostly have shrapnel wounds. Windows were falling on people, there was a fire, people were being hit by some objects or walls,” the journalist said.

According to her, some people could not leave the building, because after the first explosion the doors were damaged and could not be opened. Therefore, they called for help. And rescuers had to work right during the air raid. Some put out the fire, while others pulled people out of the apartments. But most people still went down to the basement after the first explosion. The journalist also spoke about the condition of the 9-story building in Okhtyrka that was attacked by the Russians. According to her, some of the apartments had no walls or partitions. In some apartments, the blast wave tore out the doors. Therefore, it is impossible to live in these apartments now.
