In one blow, the Russians inflicted half a billion dollars worth of damage on Odesa

On the night of March 2 in Odesa, a Russian drone struck a high-rise building, which led to the complete destruction of one of the building’s entrances. Environmentalists estimated that during that night, the Russians caused 500 million worth of damage to the city.

This was reported by the press service of the State Environmental Inspection of the South-Western District.

What damage did the Russians do?

After the tragic event, state inspectors went to the site of the shelling to examine and record the damage. They found that the area of the debris was about 5,000 square meters, which was covered with metal debris and construction waste.

According to their data, the amount of damage from shelling is estimated at almost 500 million hryvnias. These funds will be needed to restore damaged property and the environment.

Russian attack on Odessa on March 2

On March 2, the Russians struck a residential building in Odessa with drones. In total, there were eight UAVs, three of which were shot down over the city, and another four over the sea. As a result of the “arrival”, a residential building with only 18 apartments was partially destroyed. 12 dead were found under the rubble, including 5 children, and after almost two days, the search and rescue operation in the city was completed.

Oleg Kravets, a military man, was killed in an attack by the Russians. The Russians also killed his entire family.

Russian troops hit the port infrastructure of Odesa with missiles on March 6. Five people died as a result of the attack.
