In Poltava, the railway station and civilian infrastructure were damaged as a result of the Russian attack

On the night of June 29, Russia attacked the city of Poltava, which resulted in damage to the railway station. According to a representative of Ukrzaliznytsia, the railway station buildings were damaged as a result of a “massive combined attack by the Russian Federation”, including broken windows and doors, as well as partial destruction of roofs. The local railway station, carriages and administrative buildings also took part in several strikes. Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of these events.

“The massive night-time combined attack by the Russians is another blow to peaceful cities. The railway infrastructure was damaged. Passengers and workers were in shelters. No one was injured. And this fact is the main thing,” the statement said.

According to Ukrzaliznytsia, all trains in the Poltava region continue to run according to the usual schedule, even despite these incidents.
