
During August 29, Russian troops carried out 30 attacks on 20 settlements in 11 territorial communities of the region. The largest number of attacks was recorded in Sumy and Shostka districts.
The settlements of Sumy, Mykolaiv rural, Myropil, Krasnopil, Yunakiv, Esman, Svey, Shostkin, Novoslobod, Buryn and Velykypysariv communities were under attack by the Russians.
The Russians used mortars, artillery, MLRS, FPV drones, UAVs and guided aerial bombs.
According to the Sumy regional military administration, there were no casualties among civilians as a result of Russian attacks on the territory of the region over the past day.
At the same time, a 71-year-old woman died in the hospital after being injured on August 22 in the Seredino-Budska community as a result of an unidentified explosive device exploding under her feet. A 51-year-old man who was injured on August 28 as a result of an enemy drone hitting a house in the Seredino-Budska community also sought medical attention.
