In Ternopil region, Russian drones destroyed a well-known meat production facility: losses reach a million dollars

On May 1, Russian drones attacked the industrial zone of the city, where civilian food industry facilities are located. The first and most powerful blow fell directly on the administrative building and production facilities of Agrovita.

At the time of the explosion, the entire day shift was at the enterprise – about 90 people. The tragedy was avoided due to the fact that most of the staff were on their lunch break in shelters. However, the company’s management remained at their workplaces in the office, which became the epicenter of the hit.

According to the deputy head of the enterprise, Andriy Protsyk, the office of director Roman Protsyk was directly hit. The premises were virtually destroyed: the frames were broken, the furniture was shattered, and the floor was covered with fragments of concrete and glass. The head of the enterprise, Procyk, was in the direct hit zone. Immediately after the explosion, colleagues carried the wounded director in their arms and handed him over to the patrol crew.

The details of the shelling indicate that the strike was targeted.

There was a direct hit in the product packaging area — all the equipment was completely destroyed. Other premises on the territory were also destroyed. In particular, the building that was leased to the Tortino company — along with the tenant’s products,” says Andriy Procyk.

According to preliminary estimates, the equipment losses alone are estimated at 400 thousand euros, and the total amount of damage could reach a million dollars. Despite the fact that Agrovita has no connection to military infrastructure, the Russians actually destroyed the food enterprise, but the team has already started clearing the rubble and is preparing for restoration.
