According to the regional prosecutor’s office and the Kherson regional military administration, on 18 June 2026, the Russians fired artillery, mortars and drones, which were repeatedly seen over residential areas and private houses in the Kherson region.
In Kherson, a 70-year-old man died after a munition dropped by a drone hit the area, leaving him no chance to survive. Another man was injured in the village of Bilozerka under similar circumstances, when the shelling hit residential buildings and nearby streets.
‘According to the investigation, on 18 June 2026, the Russian army shelled settlements in the Kherson region with artillery, mortar weapons and various types of drones,’ the Kherson regional prosecutor’s office said. In addition to human losses, the explosions damaged private houses, broke roofs, smashed windows and destroyed yards.
