In the Kherson region, the Russians have placed about a hundred entrepreneurs in custody – they are demanding a ransom

In the occupied territory of the Kherson region, the Russians placed about 100 local entrepreneurs in custody for the purpose of obtaining a ransom.

This was reported by the spokesman of the operational command “South” Vladyslav Nazarov: “Under the pretext of allegedly conducting counter-intelligence measures, citizens are arrested, mainly from among entrepreneurs and other wealthy local residents, the formal basis for which is the accusation of possible cooperation with the Defense Forces of Ukraine. For the release of detainees the occupiers demand significant sums of money from their relatives or loved ones.”

He added that as of the beginning of this week, the invaders have detained about a hundred such persons in the settlement of Nizhny Sirogozy for the purpose of obtaining a ransom.

In autumn, the Armed Forces liberated the right-bank part of the Kherson region, in particular the city of Kherson. Part of the region, located on the left bank of the Dnieper, is temporarily occupied by Russian troops.
