In the Kherson region, there are wounded, including a child, as a result of Russian shelling, houses and cars were damaged

On January 20, Russian troops once again attacked the civilian infrastructure of the Kherson and Beryslav districts with artillery, mortars, multiple launch rocket systems and UAVs of various types. The Russians insidiously hit residential buildings and transport.

Kherson, Antonivka, Sofiivka, Kizomys, Dniprovske, Prydniprovske, Sadovoe, Belozerka, Blagovishchenske, Veletenske, Darivka, Posad-Pokrovske, Oleksandrivka, Zelenivka, Stanislav, Shyroka Balka, Beryslav, Osokorivka, Novovorontsovka, Urozhayne, Kostyrka, Zolota Balka, Odradokamyanka, Virivka, Tyahynka, Mykolaivka, Burgunka, Olhivka, Kozatske, Vesele were under fire from the Russian army.

The police recorded damage to an apartment building and three private houses, a critical infrastructure facility, and two cars.

Two private houses in Zelenivka were damaged by artillery fire.

In Sadovoe, the Russian military attacked a civilian car with an FPV drone, which was damaged.

In Urozhayne, the Russians used a suicide drone to strike a house that had already been destroyed by previous shelling.

On the evening of January 20, four men aged 30, 35, 38 and 52 were injured in the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson as a result of explosives dropped from a UAV. All of them suffered mine-explosive injuries, contusions and shrapnel wounds to the limbs. The youngest victim is in serious condition, and he also has a penetrating shrapnel wound to the head.

Residential areas in the district suffered from artillery shelling, and an apartment building was damaged. The Russians used an FPV drone to strike a car, which was damaged.

A two-year-old boy needed medical attention after being injured by shelling in the coastal area on January 19. The child was diagnosed with a mine-explosive injury and acute stress reaction.

The occupation forces fired multiple rocket launchers at the Korabelny district. A private house was damaged.

All services promptly joined in the elimination of the consequences of enemy shelling, the police collected evidence of war crimes by the Russian military.

On January 20, the police responded to 313 applications and reports from citizens about criminal offenses and other events. 15 proceedings were opened under Article 438 “War Crimes” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
