In the Kherson region, two dead people were found in a destroyed Russian building

Two dead civilians were discovered as a result of the evening airstrike on October 22 in the Kherson region. Proceedings have been initiated due to the shelling. As reported in the press service of the Kherson regional prosecutor’s office, a pre-trial investigation has been started in criminal proceedings for violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). According to the investigation, on October 22 at around 9:50 p.m., the Russian military shelled the village of Ivanivka in the Darivsk community of the Kherson district.

As a result of the shelling, a man and a woman found themselves in a destroyed private house.

On the afternoon of October 23, rescuers retrieved their bodies from under the rubble. Search and rescue operations were complicated by repeated enemy attacks on the settlement.

Prosecutors, in cooperation with police investigators, take all measures to document war crimes committed by representatives of the armed forces of the aggressor state.
