The occupiers are confiscating passports from Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied territories.

They note that the occupiers invent various pretexts for this. In particular, they go to residences and demand to obtain Russian documents for property and emphasize that this is only possible if they have Russian citizenship.

Applicants for Russian citizenship are required to submit a Ukrainian passport. At the same time, it is allowed to have dual citizenship in Russia.

The occupiers also take away the passports of people who have been captured. Documents are not returned after dismissal.

Then the Russians use the selected passports for their DRGs and in other special operations against Ukraine.

• Russia pursues a policy of forced passporting of the population in the occupied territories. People who refuse Russian passports are restricted in their rights, are not hired and may not even be provided with various social services or benefits.

The Russian occupiers shelled several settlements in the region during the past day. The head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko, said this in his Telegram channel.

According to Kyrylenka, as a result of three Russian rocket strikes, an industrial enterprise was damaged in Kramatorsk, the territory of a car service station and an adjacent 3-story building in Yasnohirka, and the territory of a former mine in Kleban-Bik.

“Avdiivka was hit by 2 anti-aircraft missiles, 2 artillery shells, shelling from Grady and tank shelling. 1 house was destroyed in Marinska hromada and 1 was damaged in Krasnohorivka, a house was damaged in Zoryannoy. 1 house was damaged in Kurakhivka,” Kyrylenko said.

In addition, in Kostyantynivka community, a house in Kostyantynivka and 3 houses in Ivanopil were damaged. In the Soledar community, 2 houses were damaged in Fedorivka, in Toretsk community, 4 houses and 1 infrastructure object were damaged.

During the day of February 19, the Russians killed at least three civilians of the Donetsk region.
