In the self-proclaimed “LPR”, 95 thousand girls and boys were involved in the propaganda “Movement of the Firsts”. This is an organization that militarizes children and prepares them for service in the Russian army. This was reported by the head of the Luhansk regional military administration, Oleksiy Kharchenko.

According to him, before the full-scale invasion, the Russians did not develop this movement in the occupied territories, but they began to do so after 2022.

“The Russians began to impose traditional Russian spiritual and moral values ​​on young people since 2022, both in the temporarily occupied territory and in the regions of the Russian Federation, where centers of the “movement of the firsts” appeared since July. Before the full-scale invasion, the functioning and existence of this organization was not appropriate. However, after it became clear that the Russians would not end the war in three days, they began to prepare children and youth for it,” the report says.

In the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the number of children and adolescents in Russian militarized movements may increase by 2030. The Russian Federation plans to attract up to 250 thousand participants each year.
