The Russians in the part of the Zaporizhzhia region captured by the Russian army resumed active actions to capture local residents. The aggravation of the situation has been observed over the past few weeks, Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, said.
“In recent days, the situation has worsened, when the Russians began to take Ukrainians captive en masse. I can say for sure at the moment that this problem is of the highest priority. Literally, in the last two weeks, Russians en masse began to bypass apartments. Otherwise, the humanitarian situation was difficult, and it remains so. Products there are, but our residents in temporary occupation do not have money for these products,” he said.
As you know, in total on May 20, Russian troops opened fire on peaceful towns and villages of the Zaporizhzhia region more than 430 times. The Russians were fired with barrel and rocket artillery, and also used to destroy drones. 10 settlements in Zaporizhzhia were under the fire of the aggressor, including Gulyaipole, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Stepnohirsk and others. One person died as a result of shelling – enemy shells killed a man in the Vasyliv district. Six households were destroyed.
