In the Zaporizhzhia region, the Russian military robbed the Ukrainian-Bulgarian lyceum

Russians robbed an educational institution in temporarily occupied Primorsk.

The regional Ukrainian-Bulgarian multidisciplinary lyceum in the resort town of Primorsk, Berdyan district, Zaporizhzhia region, became the next target of a crime by Russian troops.

Lyceum is located in a historic building in the center of Primorsk. In 1921, the Bulgarian Pedagogical College was opened there.

On March 15, 2023, as reported by the Center for Journalistic Investigations, the Russians surrounded the building of the Ukrainian-Bulgarian Lyceum with several cars and began to take away computer equipment and other more or less valuable things. But they reminded that graduates of this lyceum had the opportunity to continue their studies in Bulgaria for free. Many ethnic Bulgarians live in this area.

“In order to hide their criminal actions, the representatives of the Russian army blocked the approaches and entrances from the side of the street. Veresneva, and two soldiers were stationed at the entrance of the facility for security,” said a local resident.

The Center for Journalistic Investigations also reported that in February 2023, Russian soldiers robbed the Primorsky School No. 2 and the Romashka kindergarten. According to residents, not only computer equipment was taken, but even children’s chairs and cots.

The Russians fail to establish the educational process – the locals do not want to send their children to their schools. In Primorsk, the occupiers put pressure on parents who do not send their children to a Russian school. Yes, they brought to administrative responsibility the parents of five families where the children do not go to study in a Russian school. Parents were awarded administrative fines. Those who live under occupation know that fines are just a warning, and it could be worse.
