In Ukraine, 347 children are considered missing due to Russian aggression

347 children are considered missing in Ukraine due to the aggression of the Russian Federation.

This was reported by the press service of the Office of the Ombudsman.

According to the state children’s search portal Children of War, as of February 8, 347 children were considered missing, 16,168 were deported, while 9,578 children were found and 173 children were returned.

As reported, Yuliya Usenko, head of the Department for Protection of Children’s Interests and Combating Violence of the Prosecutor General’s Office, said in a comment to Ukrinform that 128 children deported to the Russian Federation were returned to Ukraine.

The Russians injured two civilians in Bakhmut

During the past day, on February 6, the Russian military injured two more civilians of Donetsk region. People were injured in Bakhmut.

This was announced by the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko.

In total, since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, the Russian army has killed 1,352 and wounded 3,002 residents of Donetsk region.

Kirylenko emphasized that these data do not take into account the number of victims and wounded in the temporarily occupied Mariupol and Volnovasi: “Every war criminal will be punished!”, the message says.

According to the General Staff, in particular, Spirne, Berestov, Bilogorivka, Rozdolivka, Zaliznyanske, Paraskoviivka, Krasna Gora, Bakhmut, Ivanovske, Mykolaivka, Predtechine, Klishchiivka, Kurdyumivka, New York and Vesele of the Donetsk region came under fire in the direction of the Bakhmut region. In total, there are more than 30 settlements.

On the Avdiiv and Novopavliv areas, Avdiivka, Vodyane, Maryinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Vugledar, Zolota Niva and Neskuchne of the Donetsk region came under tank, mortar and artillery shelling. Air strikes by the occupiers were recorded near Avdiyivka, Nevelsky and Maryinka. In the Vodyanny area, the Russian invaders dropped non-lethal K-51 aerosol tear gas grenades from UAVs on the positions of our troops.

Analysts of the Institute for the Study of War believe that a new Russian offensive will begin in the Donetsk region. However, according to experts, the occupiers want to start it in an unrealistic time frame and probably without sufficient combat power.

During the day, the police of Donetsk region recorded 31 crimes committed by Russia against the civilian population in Donetsk region.

Russian troops directed the S-300 missile at Druzhkivka. The projectile hit a private house. According to preliminary information, no one was injured.

The Rashists attacked the villages of Vremivka and Neskuchne from aviation. There were no reports of casualties or damage.

Avdiivka suffered the most shelling – seventeen. The occupiers hit the city with “Hrads” and artillery. 2 apartment buildings were damaged, no one was injured.

As a result of artillery shelling, we have wounded people in Bakhmut.

The police and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

With the help of the police, 268 more people were evacuated, since the beginning of mandatory evacuation – more than 40,660 people, among them 5,576 – children, 2,137 – people with disabilities.
