In Ukraine, a quarter of fixed communication networks and 4,000 mobile towers were damaged

As a result of Russian aggression in Ukraine, 25% of fixed networks were damaged, 4,300 mobile base stations were destroyed or damaged.

This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for Innovations, Development of Education, Science and Technologies – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov: “Today, 25% of fixed networks are damaged – this is a fact. More than 4,000 mobile communication stations have been destroyed or damaged.”

According to him, the telecommunications industry in Ukraine is also negatively affected by cyberattacks and the burden on operators due to the need to serve large roaming traffic for almost 4 million Ukrainian refugees.
