In Ukraine, as a result of Russian aggression, 1,393 children were injured, 353 are considered missing

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia, 353 children are considered missing, and 462 minors have died at the hands of the aggressors.

This is reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

As noted by the prosecutor’s office, as of the morning of March 5, 2023, at least 1,393 children suffered.

According to the official information of juvenile prosecutors, the official number of children who died is 462.

The number of victims in the war increased – 931 minors, who received injuries of various degrees of severity.

Juvenile prosecutors emphasize that these numbers are not final, as work is ongoing to establish them in places of active hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

Children were most affected in:

  • Donetsk region – 445,
  • Kharkivska – 272,
  • Kyivska – 123,
  • Mykolaivska – 83,
  • Chernihivska – 68,
  • Luhansk – 66,
  • Khersonska – 90,
  • Zaporizhia – 84,
  • Dnipropetrovsk – 64.

As reported, 3,126 educational institutions were damaged due to bombing and shelling by the armed forces of the Russian Federation. 338 of them were completely destroyed.

In addition, juvenile prosecutors report that they have already found 10,147 children. The prosecutor’s office considers 353 minors to be missing.

In addition, the agency emphasized that 16,221 children were deported to Russia and the so-called republics, of which only 307 minors were returned home.
