
As a result of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, 10,000 houses were damaged and destroyed in the Zaporizhzhіa region controlled by Ukraine. This was announced in Zaporizhzhia regional military administration during a briefing dedicated to the work in the region of the state program “eRecovery”.
“To date, more than 10,000 houses have been destroyed and damaged: 8,500 private houses and 1,500 multi-apartment houses,” said Vitaly Lytvynenko, director of the Department of Housing and Communal Affairs and Capital Construction of the regional military administration.
As the military administration noted, there are state programs in the region that allow to compensate homeowners for damages caused by Russian aggression.
“To date, 904 applications have been submitted in the Zaporizhzhia region under the “eRecovery” program. 353 applications have already been considered and approved in the amount of 21 million 464 thousand. 293 residents of the Zaporizhzhia region have already received funds in the amount of 16 million 127 thousand. This program is most actively implemented in the Zaporizhzhіa city community, where 141 people received compensation, Komyshuva, Kushugum, Stepne and Tavriy communities,” the official added.
Also, from August 15, state commissions began working in Zaporizhzhia region, which consider applications from residents of the region to receive compensation for housing destroyed by shelling by the Russian army. According to the regional military administration, 48 such applications have been submitted so far, 7 of which have been approved for the amount of over 9 million hryvnias.
At the end of October, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that almost 19,000 Ukrainian families received 1.5 billion hryvnias for damaged property under the “eRecovery” program.
Part of the Zaporizhzhia region is under the occupation of Russian troops.
