In Zaporizhzhia, a botanical garden was damaged due to a night attack

In Zaporizhzhia, a night attack by the “Shahed’s” on July 1 damaged greenhouses in the botanical garden. The institution was forced to temporarily close.

This was reported by the garden’s press service.

There are several large glass greenhouses located on the territory of the botanical garden. The blast wave knocked out some of the windows in them.

The garden’s management hopes that this time they will be able to quickly eliminate the consequences of the attack and resume work.

This year, the garden has already suffered from Russian attacks. In particular, in January, about three dozen windows in the greenhouses were damaged as a result of the strikes.

The Zaporizhzhia city botanical garden is a unique specialized ecological and naturalistic after-school educational institution in Ukraine. Before the full-scale invasion, about 800 children and adolescents studied here annually. It was founded in the late 50s of the last century. It has several thousand plants in its collection. The botanical garden continues to operate today.
