The head of the regional military administration, Yury Malashko, reported on the morning of September 7 that Russian troops struck 99 targets in 31 populated areas of the Zaporizhzhia region in 24 hours.
Artillery fired, rockets and drones hit the region.
“A 68-year-old man was killed and a 70-year-old man was wounded as a result of artillery shelling in Stepnohirsk. A 34-year-old man was injured during the shelling of Preobrazhenka. 64 and 85-year-old women were injured in the missile attack on Tavriyskyi, and a married couple – a 44-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman – were injured in Zaporizhzhia. All of them were promptly taken to medical institutions,” the message reads.
The Russians hit a civilian infrastructure facility in the Zaporizhzhia district, probably with ballistics
On September 7, Russian troops attacked the Zaporizhzhia district. Previously, the Russians used ballistic weapons.
The air alert in the Zaporizhzhia region lasted from 10:05 a.m. to 11:14 a.m.
The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Yuriy Malashko, said that the Russians were on the lookout for the civil infrastructure facility.
“At 10:20 a.m., the Russians most likely hit one of the civilian infrastructure facilities with a ballistic missile. This facility was destroyed. Fortunately, there were no casualties,” he said.
According to him, the fire is currently being extinguished.
“After the fire is extinguished, we will know the type of missile that was hit and the consequences,” Malashko said.
In addition, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration emphasized that the information circulating on the network that an air raid warning sounded after the strike is not true.
Kharkiv region
In the Kharkiv region, the head of the regional military administration, Oleg Synegubov, reported shelling of the Kharkiv, Bogodukhiv, Chuguyiv, and Kupyan districts. In particular, nine private houses and commercial buildings were damaged in the village of Kozacha Lopan.
“A 25-year-old civilian man was injured and hospitalized in a serious condition in the village of Glushkivka, Kupyan district. As a result of the shelling from the helicopter of the village of Petropavlivka in the Kupyan district, a fire broke out in the field,” he added.
Two foresters, 25 and 29 years old, were blown up by an unknown explosive device near the village of Nortsivka, Izyum district. They were hospitalized in moderate condition. Another man, a 59-year-old driver, was hospitalized due to an explosive device detonation near Vilkhuvatka, Kupyansky district.
At the end of August, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights confirmed the death of 9,511 and the wounding of 17,206 civilians in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale invasion of Russia. The organization emphasizes that the real number of victims is much higher.
At the same time, Moscow continues to deny shelling of the civilian population in Ukraine.
