As a result of the shelling of Zaporizhzhia by the Russians on the night of September 16, more than a dozen people were injured, including children. Dozens of rescuers are working at the scene of the incident.
This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
He noted that according to the latest estimates, 13 people were injured as a result of the night shelling of the city, including two children.
“The injured children – 4 and 17 years old – are under the supervision of doctors. Unfortunately, one person – a 41-year-old man – died,” Fedorov noted.
The head of the regional military administration added that the injured continue to seek medical help.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the shelling caused large-scale fires: the fire engulfed three residential buildings with an area of 350 m2, two trucks in the parking lot and a maintenance station with an area of 600 m2.
78 rescuers and 17 units of equipment were involved in the elimination of the consequences. All emergency services worked at the scene. The number of victims is being specified.
On the night of September 16, Russian terrorists massively attacked Zaporizhzhia with rockets and artillery.
Private houses and non-residential premises were destroyed and damaged in the city, cars were damaged, windows were broken out and facades were damaged.
