In Zhytomyr region, 126 educational institutions were destroyed by Russian strikes

In Zhytomyr region, during the Russian full-scale invasion, 126 educational institutions were destroyed by enemy strikes. Among them were 32 preschool institutions. Over 315 million hryvnias were spent on the restoration of some of them.

This was reported by the Department of Education and Science of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration in response to an information request from the Public.

During 2022-2024, according to the response to the request, 125 educational institutions were restored.

As part of the project, 31 schools in 12 communities of the region were renovated for 315 million. In addition to repair work, the educational base in 32 schools was modernized (replacement of furniture, educational equipment, etc.). A total of 13.1 thousand students were able to study in the renovated premises. In 2023, 368.8 thousand hryvnias were allocated from the regional budget to eliminate the consequences of armed aggression.
