On the night of August 9, Russian troops attacked the German Kromberg & Schubert plant in Zhytomyr, which manufactures cable networks for Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Audi cars. The plant’s equipment and production facilities were extensively damaged, and a fire broke out at the “arrival” site.
The enterprise has been operating in Zhytomyr for 11 years and has provided jobs for about 3,500 people. Fortunately, the workers were not injured. However, the plant has suspended operations indefinitely due to significant damage to the infrastructure.
