It was the repeated attack of the Russian Federation on Sumy that caused mass casualties: the missile could have contained shrapnel elements

On the morning of April 13, the Russians launched two missile strikes on Sumy – it was the repeated attack that caused human losses with a large number of dead and injured. This was reported by the head of the city’s military administration, Serhiy Kryvosheyenko.

According to him, the second ballistic missile was probably loaded with fragmentation elements and exploded in the air to inflict maximum damage on people on the streets of Sumy.

According to preliminary findings, most of the civilians died precisely from these striking elements.

Kryvosheyenko noted that the explosion occurred about 200 meters from the site of the first hit, in an area with residential buildings, educational institutions and shops.

“Such actions of the Russian Federation indicate a planned attack specifically on civilian objects and civilians on the streets,” the official noted.

Relevant services, law enforcement officers and experts continue to work at the site of the attack.
