Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubynets reported that at least 790 children died in Ukraine during ten years of war.
“Today the world celebrates the International Day of Innocent Children – Victims of Aggression. Unfortunately, over the past 10 years, we have fully felt the tragedy of this date. In Ukraine, June 4 is also the Day of Remembrance of children who died as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. Since 2014, at least 790 children have died as a result of Russia’s war against Ukraine. These are 790 killed and burned families,” the ombudsman noted.
Lubynets emphasized that every such tragedy is another evidence of the genocide of the Ukrainian people.
“The world must react to the murders of innocent children and act to punish Russia and prevent new victims,” he emphasized.
