Kharkiv region is on fire: four streets burned down in the city of Slobozhansk, a forest is burning in Borivska hromada

Four streets burned down in the town of Slobozhanske in the Lipetsk community.

The fire started on October 1 after Russian shelling. The fire started in the ecosystem, but later the fire spread to the house. 25 houses were destroyed on four streets: Myru, Zelena, Pishchana and Svitla. Serhii Kryvetchenko, the deputy head of the Lypetsk village military administration, said that the residents were able to put out the fire on their own around one o’clock in the morning on October 2.

There is no electricity in the village. The fire was extinguished with the help of a generator, pumps, and hoses.

People lived in two of the 25 burned houses. Perhaps they will move in with relatives, the official said.

Before the war, more than 1,000 people lived in Slobozhansk. As of October 2, 27 remain.

On October 2, at around 1:30 p.m., the Russians shelled the Kupyansky forest farm near the village of Pisky Radkivski, Borivska hromad, Izyum district. A fire broke out that covered 15 hectares of forest floor. In some places, the flames spread to the crowns of trees.

On October 2, rescuers also contained a 39-hectare fire in Kharkiv’s Osnovyansk district, which broke out yesterday, October 1.
