At least ten civilians were injured as a result of another Russian attack on residential areas of Kherson on the morning of May 20. Among the injured were passengers of a minibus and residents of private homes.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, at around 07:00 in the morning, a Russian drone hit a minibus with passengers. Five people were injured as a result of the strike.
At 08:30, the Russians began artillery shelling of the city, as a result of which five more people were injured. As investigators specified, most of them were elderly residents who were in their own homes at the time of the shelling.
“A 45-year-old woman and two men aged 62 and 41 went to the hospital. They have explosive injuries and concussions. In the future, the injured will be treated on an outpatient basis,” the Kherson Regional Military Administration reported.
The ambulance team also hospitalized a 76-year-old man who was injured during the shelling of the Korabelny district. He received an explosive injury, contusion, and shrapnel wounds to his hand and forehead. According to doctors, his condition is assessed as moderate.
Later, the number of injured in the Korabelny district increased: medical assistance was provided to an 88-year-old woman with an explosive injury, contusion, and shrapnel wounds to her head. The ambulance doctors provided her with assistance directly on the spot.
