Kidnapped in Tokmok, held in Melitopol: the Russians set up a trial for a Ukrainian kidnapped two years ago

The Russians continue to organize fake trials of civilians cynically kidnapped by the Russian special services. Even the absence of a Russian passport does not bother the occupiers, and they hand down false sentences with huge prison terms to citizens of another country. Of course, the majority of such cases are simply fabricated, and residents of the captured region are tried solely for patriotism and love for the Motherland.

The so-called “Zaporizhsky Regional Court” in Melitopol passed a verdict in a false criminal case against 41-year-old Ukrainian citizen Dmytro Shainoga. The abducted resident of the Zaporizhzhia region was found guilty of espionage.

According to the Russian Federation, Dmytro Shaynoga contributed to the liberation of the occupied region and in the period from August to October 2022 passed the coordinates of the Russian invaders and enemy equipment to the Ukrainian special services. And the transmitted data could allegedly be used to launch fire strikes at locations where the Russian military is stationed.

It is impossible to check whether 41-year-old Dmytro Shaynoga really gave the coordinates to the Russians due to the occupation of the region. On October 11, 2022, he was kidnapped by Russian special services in Tokmok, and three weeks after his arrest, he was transferred to one of the Melitopol torture camps.
