Kidnapped together with her husband – a resident of Melitopol died in Russian captivity

Tatyana and Oleg Plachkov were kidnapped by the Russians a year ago

Tetyana Plachkova, who was abducted by the Russians together with her husband Oleg in September of last year, died in Russian captivity. This is reported by the initiative “For Human Rights”.

Before the start of the full-scale war, Tetiana and Oleg owned two cafes in Melitopol and were engaged in the development of their business. After the capture of the city by Russian troops, they stayed at home with Tatiana’s mother. On the night of September 25-26, 2023, FSB employees broke into their house and stole it.

“People in overalls broke into the house with machine guns, handcuffed the parents, took their phones, documents and took them away. They locked my grandmother in the room and ordered her not to go out,” says Lyudmila, the couple’s daughter.

For six months, the daughter did not know anything about the condition of her parents and their whereabouts. And in February 2024, it became known that her mother was in a coma. The Russians did not even immediately bring the woman to the hospital and kept her for some time.

Lyudmila tried to have her mother transferred to the territories controlled by Ukraine, but she did not have time. In May, Tetyana Plachkova died in the hospital. Her own mother hid her in Melitopol, and Lyudmila was not allowed to enter the temporarily occupied territories.
