The attack of Russian troops on Odesa on March 2 was the first case after the invasion of the aggressor country, when a kamikaze drone destroyed the entire entrance of a multi-story building. This was stated by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin: “You know, this is the first case that we can record when almost the entire entrance of an apartment building was destroyed as a result of a drone attack. We are watching how the Russian Federation is trying to destroy not only our present, but by killing our children, destroy our future.”
The Prosecutor General emphasized that the house that was hit by the occupiers “is not located next to any military or dual purpose facility, this house is located in a densely built-up area.”
“We understand that this policy begins precisely in the Kremlin. Criminal orders are given precisely from the Kremlin. Ukraine needs additional weapons and air defense equipment. After all, we must not only investigate such war crimes. We must stop these crimes. For this, we need the support of the world.” Kostin said.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, commenting on the attack on Odesa, said that Ukraine needs more air defense equipment from its partners to protect people.
According to the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, on the night of March 2, the Russian army attacked Odesa region with eight Shahed-type drones. Seven of them were shot down. Russian military strikes have not yet commented.
