The Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill is a pulp and paper enterprise located in Obukhiv, Kyiv region, and is part of the Austrian holding company Pulp Mill Holding. According to the mill’s press service, “production and warehouse facilities sustained serious damage, and equipment and utility infrastructure were impaired.”

On October 7, damage was also reported in the Bucha and Fastiv districts of the Kyiv region following Russian drone attacks. In the Bucha district, a warehouse and a vehicle were damaged. In the Fastiv district, a private residential house was damaged, specifically its roof. There were no casualties or injuries in either instance. This attack on the Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill underscores the ongoing threat posed by missile and drone strikes targeting Ukraine’s industrial facilities and civilian infrastructure. The damage will significantly impact the plant’s production capacity, potentially leading to economic consequences for the region. Operations to address the aftermath of the attacks are already underway; however, restoring production will take time, which could affect industry supplies. At the same time, the absence of casualties among the plant’s employees is a positive aspect of the situation.
