On October 12, Russian forces launched at least five strikes on the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv. Twenty-two people were injured in the attack, including two children.
Preliminary reports indicate that the attack was carried out using “Geran-2” drones. The first impacts were recorded around 08:35, and the wave of strikes lasted approximately one hour.
Two apartment buildings, a sports facility, and a private house were damaged. In one building entrance, the seventh through ninth floors were destroyed, and a fire broke out, which rescuers promptly extinguished.
Rescue operations were repeatedly interrupted by air raid alerts—complicating the work of the State Emergency Service and other emergency teams due to the threat of follow-up strikes.
On October 11, an airstrike hit the Nemyshlianskyi district of Kharkiv; a 36-year-old woman was killed, and eight other people were injured, including a seven-year-old boy.
