Lukashenko invites Ukraine and Russia to the “Minsk platform”—”without any mediation,” but with consideration for his own “serious interests.”

The self-proclaimed president of Belarus made these remarks on November 3 in Minsk at an “international conference on Eurasian security.” His comments were cited by his “official website.”

According to Lukashenko, he is prepared to offer the “Minsk platform” once again at any moment to facilitate the resumption of peace talks between Ukraine and Russia.

“We remain ready to continue making a tangible contribution to resolving the conflict and minimizing its consequences. Ultimately, there is no alternative to a peaceful solution.” “If you want to reach an agreement—and I am addressing those who wish to do so—please, come. Come to Minsk. Come, just as was done in the past, and we will reach an agreement,” stated Lukashenko.

He emphasized: “Not ‘you reach an agreement,’ but ‘we will reach an agreement.'”

“Because we are involved in this Ukrainian conflict; our interests in these peace negotiations are very significant. Come, let’s talk. Without any mediation. I do not wish to play the role of a mediator—especially since our interests in these negotiations are substantial and serious,” the self-proclaimed president declared.
