The chairman of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov said that March 2025 was the hardest month for the city since the beginning of the year due to a significant increase in the number of shelling and destruction.
According to him, the Russians doubled their attacks, which led to catastrophic consequences for residential buildings and critical infrastructure.
It is noted that only at the end of March the city suffered the greatest number of blows.
As a result of Russian attacks: 219 residential buildings were damaged; almost 4,300 windows were broken; 81 roofs were damaged, half of which have already been restored.
The chairman of Kharkiv said that not a single shelling went unnoticed, but despite the constant blows, the city is maintaining the pace of recovery.
The authorities report that 98% of buildings already have closed circuits, which allows residents to remain in their homes. Utilities are provided without interruption.
Terekhov also noted that the restoration involves utility workers and volunteers who work 24/7, seven days a week. According to him, work is underway not only on residential buildings, but also on administrative buildings, schools and hospitals, roads and engineering infrastructure.
On the night of April 2, Russian troops carried out a new massive drone attack on Kharkiv. Eight people were injured, including three children.
Terekhov reported that 15 drone strikes were carried out on Kharkiv.
