The massive attack by the Russian Federation on the capital on the morning of June 10 took lives, injured people and destroyed civilian infrastructure in several districts of the city.
The Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of June 10 took the life of a woman in the Obolonsky district. Four more people, including a police officer, were injured. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko.
“Today’s attack on Kyiv took the life of a woman in the Obolonsky district. My sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased. This is a heavy and painful loss. Russian strikes are once again hitting not military targets, but the lives of ordinary people,” he noted.
Destruction was recorded in various districts of the capital. According to the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office, an investigation has been launched under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — violation of the laws and customs of war.
What was damaged as a result of the attack:
Obolonskyi district: death of a woman; destroyed apartments in a high-rise building; at least ten cars damaged.
Holosiivskyi district: damage to a business center building.
Darnytskyi district: hit a residential building; destroyed cars; damaged railway track.
Podilskyi district: drone debris fell near a gas station.
Solomyanskyi district: damage to a private house; holes in the roof of a 16-story building.
Shevchenkivskyi district: destruction of a grocery market; damage to another business center.
Rescuers and law enforcement officers are working on the scene. The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the city of Kyiv and the Kyiv region. The prosecutor’s office emphasizes: another war crime by Russia will be documented.
“An investigation has been launched into the facts of committing war crimes under Part 1 Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. All circumstances and damages are being established,” the official statement of the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office says.
