Massive Russian attack on Lviv. There are wounded and destruction, “Shakhed” flew just over the Market Square

On the night of September 19, Russia launched a massive attack on Lviv with “Shakheds”, for two hours the city heard explosions and the operation of air defense systems, kamikaze drones flew right over the historic center.

Drones have caused destruction and fires, and the first injured are known.

The last powerful attack on Lviv took place in July, when 10 people died from the destruction of a residential building.

“Shakhed” attacked the city in several waves after 4 o’clock in the morning – it was the longest attack on Lviv during the entire time of the great invasion. They came from different parts of the city. At 6 o’clock in the morning, the attack ended and the alarm was cancelled.

As the Air Force reported, Russia launched kamikaze drones from Primorsko-Akhtyrsk at 11 p.m. on September 18 and they reached Lviv Oblast in 5 hours.

After 4 o’clock in the morning, at least two Shaheds were observed flying over the historical center of Lviv, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They were flying at an extremely low altitude. Explosions and the operation of air defense systems were heard in various areas of the city.

As the chairman of Lviv, Andriy Sadovy, reported, as a result of the attack, an industrial warehouse caught fire in one of the districts of the city.

The head of the region, Maksym Kohytskyi, clarified that two people were found from under the rubble of the industrial warehouse.

“The woman is initially uninjured. The man is in serious condition. More information later,” Kozytskyi wrote. He says that there is a significant fire in the warehouses.
